Camera's have a strange effect on people. Normally confident people go shy,
and the normally shy just turn invisible. Suddenly the building was empty...the
fear of being photographed too much for their sanity. Although I was keen
to get photographs of the rooms themselves, Helen really wanted people in
them...which only left us with one option...
"Come on Lee, you go into the vocal booth and I'll take a picture of you.."
"Awww Helen, do I really have to?"
"Yeah; it'll make a great photograph..."
But there again, Helen has always had a very strange sense of humour!
I knew that they shouldn't have taken any shots of me. After the first one was done, Helen looked at me from behind the viewfinder with a look of horror on her face.
"Whoops...it doesn't seem to be working Lee; we'll have to take it back to
Pete!" It seemed like an age before we found him back in his office.
"Ah don't worry kiddo...it just needs re-setting."
Pete took a couple of photos himself and handed the camera back to me. It
worked perfectly well for the rest of the afternoon, and Helen did her very
best David Bailey impression snapping pictures of anything that sprung to
mind.
"Right Pete, let's have a shot of you and Lee in the boardroom....closer
together, erm could you turn to the side just a bit? Yeah, that's it..." Pete
turned to me and whispered into my ear.
"I think that she's getting a bit carried away with this game!"
I just kept on looking at the camera and smiled...
